Minime finds a traffic cone in Donner Lake!
ROVs are so fun. One thing I enjoy the most is the anticipation of actually discovering something. No matter how small. Minime did not disappoint this dive. We found a nice orange traffic cone sitting by itself down there. Beautiful clear water on this dive. One other thing was I wanted to test endurance of the rig in the cold. There was snow on the ground and the wind was blowing pretty good. The water temperature was 46 degrees. Minime did not have a problem, even the laptop seemed to handle it ok (once I didn’t need the touchpad!) After this dive I looked up Minime’s specs and see that he’s rated all the way down to -10C/14F! So keep him in the water or otherwise in a warm bag if you’re doing cold weather work.
